Bronny James is an undersized combo guard heading to USC. He makes up for his lack of height with athleticism, quickness, and a strong frame. Known as a shooter with deep range who can get hot and rally his team, James sometimes overly relies on his jumpshot rather than diversifying his scoring.

While not a true point guard yet, James processes the game very well, makes smart decisions, and positively impacts winning. He will need to prove he can be a lead guard running an offense to elevate his draft stock rather than just an off-ball combo guard. Defensively, James utilizes his strength and IQ to frequently disrupt opposing offenses.

James has thrived in low-usage roles but needs to show more ability to dominate games to emerge among the best in his class. At USC he will play alongside talented freshman Isaiah Collier, which provides both talent and uncertainty around James' opportunity to expand his skill set. Evaluating how James produces either as a two-way connector guard or potentially in a lead playmaker role will shape his NBA upside.
