In business, a tortoise approach is one of slowly building over time, and applying the principle of the flywheel to build up momentum. The hare approach is trying to build up a business quickly and or trying to multiple separate ideas at once, being distracted more than focused, and building no momentum. The tortoise wins this race, as he does in the fable.
