Marketing 2-2 Reaching out to those whom are not in your own industry

Reaching out to those whom are not in your own industry

Last post we discussed the importance of reaching out to those in your industry and creating a lasting business relationship that would benefit each party. Previously reaching out to a network of people that you might’ve never touched. For our purposes I’m going to discuss reaching out to people/businesses that are not in your industry and creating partnerships in order to share the eyes that you probably wouldn’t have gotten before. For 2-2 I’m going to focus on doing this digitally.

This is probably going to take some work to do. If you have a larger following, then you will have more influence and more success reaching out to those and asking if they want to build a business relationship with you. For instance, say you have a following of 15k. Start doing a search via hashtags for influencers that have the same or a little more followers than you have. Send them a real message, not some canned hard selling hot mess. “Hi, I noticed that you have a very strong following, I love the interaction that you have with them. I also have a very strong following and active outreach. I was wondering if we could work together, figure something out that could potentially help both of us.” What the two of you come up with would be up to you. Be creative, if you’ve had success doing this with other influencers maybe you can bring in 3 or 4 together and do bigger digital marketing event that could benefit all of you.

If your smaller and just getting started, it’s going to be tougher to find that other person that wants to work with you. But, they’re out there, struggling to get the ball rolling. Reach out to them, ask if they want to collaborate with you. Create that mutually beneficially content, this could be a relationship that last a lifetime.

Thanks for reading. 2-3 coming up tomorrow
